Sunday in Edinburgh

It's Sunday, so Kate,Alexandra and I went to church at St Giles.  I had first gone inside the church midweek in January of 1980. I have wanted to go to church there ever since. It is a lovely, comfortable, old cathedral.

After church, we met up with Cathie and Madeleine, had breakfast and wandered downtown.  While they shopped, I looked for a place to have lunch with the Huffmans when they arrived. I walked down Rose Street which is more of an alley for pedestrians.

Then I came back on George Street, which is notable, because it is a big boulevard without a lot of people (really refreshing).

This is looking the other way.

We found a pub and I felt a panorama really captured the moment.

Then the Huffmans arrived and I stopped taking pictures. We had a lovely lunch, worked our way back to the old town, stopped at The Whiski Bar for a Scotch tasting and dinner then it was bedtime.
