The main attraction is the Duomo. This is Cathie's favorite cathedral in Italy.

Inside the columns are striped which makes it quite different from most of the cathedrals we have seen.

After the cathedral, I took Madeleine back to the hotel for a break. Cathie and Alexandra went to Il Campo.

By the time Madeleine and I had returned, we had afternoon thunderstorms, so my pictures were not as sunny.

We wandered the city for an hour in the rain. Then back to the hotel before back out to dinner. This was the view at sunset from our room.

Dinner was at a restaurant recommended by Christina from the villa. It was spectacular and not expensive. I had the gnocchi in a white meat sauce a grilled steak and, once again, vin santo with cantuccini. We had another noble Montepulciano, which was also great.

The inside of the Cathedral with the striped columns is beautiful. It must be amazing to see in person. I have really enjoyed seeing such historic buildings via your trip.
