That means today was our cooking class. We learned how to make bruschetta, risotto with sausage, chicken in bacon and an apple cake.

There were twelve of us in the class; a mother and daughter from The Netherlands, a family from Australia, and us. The woman from Australia and I had the same problem, our risotto doesn't have the correct consistency. So that was our concentration.

Once we had prepared the food, it was time to eat it. Class started around 10:30. Eating drinking started around 1:30. Lunch finished at 4:00.

For the risotto, we started it up, with cooking the onions, then toasting the rice. A little wine, and, slowly add the stock. Then we shut off the heat, pulled little sausage meatballs from link sausage, covered the pan and let it sit for awhile. We finished it later with the remaining stock and a little butter then served it. This allowed the rice time to cook without too much stock being used, which puffs up the rice too much.

The chicken.

After pool time, I walked up the hill to our rooms. The villa is surrounded by vineyards.

It sits up on a hill with a huge view, including Siena.

For dinner, we went to the local Oesteria and has a really good dinner.

For dessert, instead of ordering off the menu, Cathie and the girlies had ice cream novelties from the freeze. Alexandra went with the Super Blob.

Madeleine had the surprise cup. The surprise was the headband, there are fairies on it.
